Beautiful and rare Solar horizons indications pocket watch

Case: n°21154, 18kt yellow gold, "Neuchatel" punches inside the case.

Dial: white enamel with three subsidiary dials: at 3 show the day of the month; at 6 show hours and minutes; at 9 show the months. the main attraction of this pocket watch is at the 12, is the indication of the "solar horizons" with raised and lowered of the Sun.

Movement: blue steel and brass with "fusée and chain", cylinder escapement, gilt brass engraved "coq".

Signed: on dial and movenent "Meuron & Comp.".

Period and provenance: circa 1810, Swiss (probably Geneve).

Note:  "Meuron & Comp." important pocket watch maker with " remontoir perpetuelle", decorated cases, enameled, with automatons or skeleton movements. Also makers of important clocks (cheminée clocks, table clocks, "officier" and "cartel"). Active in Neuchatel, La Chaux-de-Fonds (Switzerland), Geneve and Paris. Manufacturers between the end of XVIII century and the first half of XIX century.
