Rare pocket watch with double case for the chinese market.

Case: outer case: 18 kt gold, blu enamel and diamonds. Inner case: 18 kt gold n° 26300 with punches.

Dial: white enamel with roman numerals for the hours and arab for the minutel in black enamel. Hands with diamonds.

Movement: n° 26300, gilt brass and steel, "fusee and chain", engraved gilt brass "coq", verge escapement.

Signed: Jean Robert soret on dial and movement.

Period and provenance: circa 1750/1760, Geneve-Switzerland.

Note: this pocket watch belong to the "Bellin Collection" and is the number 168 on the catalogue.

Jean Robert Soret, worked in Geneve between 1740 and 1780, some of his watches are in the "Frankel Collection".
