Pocket watch with automatons
Case: silver.
Dial:gilt brass with two four gold colours indians black painted automatons that strike hours and quarters (to pretend) on two bells. Ring white enamel dial with black enamel arabic numerals in the center of the gilt brass dial plaque.
Movement: brass, fusée and chain, verge escapement, gong for hours and quarters striking.
Period and provenance: circa 1820/30, Geneve-Switzerland.
Signed: "Esquivillon & Dechoudens" on movement and couvette.
